For 11 years now we’ve worked together as a team,
To promote literacy and have fun, watching little eyes gleam.
Our puppet friends make stories, come to life for the young and old,
With their words and songs, imagination does unfold.
So many puppet shows to choose,
Which one of twenty-two, can we perform for you?
There is ‘Little Red Riding Hood,’ ‘The Three Little Pigs,’ ‘Ugly Duckling,’
‘The City Mouse and the Country Mouse,’ and ‘Rumpelstiltskin’.
Don’t forget, ’The Three Bears, ’‘Little Red Hen,’ and ‘Princess and the Pea’,
Goodness me!
‘Susan’s Friend,’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk,’ and ‘The Hill Family,’
‘Nanuk’s Arctic Adventure,’ and ,’The Gingerbread Boy’,
Gee!
‘The Frog Prince,’ ‘Elves and the Shoemaker,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast,’
‘Emperor and the Nightingale,’ ,Hansel and Gretel’,
Wow! This is quite a puppet show feast!
‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff,’, *‘The Periwinkle Family,’
‘ A Halloween Package’ and a ‘Christmas Package’, too.
There you go, that’s twenty-two!

Because we’re as accommodating as can be.

This year’s Backpack Theater performance is ‘The Jungle Book’.
We hope you’ll want to take a look.
And Island Roads Theater will perform,
‘Where the Wild Things Are,’ and ‘Jack and the Beanstalk,’

Join Us For Our Very First
Bookfair at Barnes and Noble!
The Traveling Storyteller and Company is having its very first Bookfair at Barnes and Noble in S. Burlington on Dorset Street. We are inviting you and all your friends to Barnes and Noble on August 21st. Please download and print our voucher to use with all your purchases that day.
This event is designed to help Non-Profit organizations with supplies, books, puppets and other essentials to fit their needs. A percentage of what you buy will go to the Traveling Storyteller and Company. Please help us by passing the word around of our bookfair by handing them a voucher. The vouchers are also available at Barnes and Noble for your convenience. You may also shop on line at the Barnes and Noble web site www.barnesandnoble.com.
Bring your children to join in the fun activities. There will be 3 puppet shows, 10:30am-2:00pm-5:00pm, along with wiggles and stories. Come see The Three Little Pigs starring Webster D. Wolf. We will also have The Ugly Duckling and The Gingerbread Boy.

Celebrates It's 10th Year With You:
Our date books are now open for the 2009 year. As always our hour- long presentations include: two wiggles, a story, and a puppet show with all original puppets and accompanying original music composed by Vermont artists, Adam Desrochers or Ryan Dempsey. We will still include the craft at the end of the show but we will be charging an additional $10.00.

Mileage is added to all sites. $10 for the first 30 miles and then $5 for each additional 10-mile increment. We charge you for one way, only. (Due to the increase in gas prices we have had to add a mileage charge to all of our sites but to compensate we have not raised the price of our performances.)

Backpack Theater and Island Roads Theater News
During the last full week of June only our, Backpack Theater will be touring from Saturday June 20th- Friday, June 26th. This year our show will be: The Wizard of OZ. Bookings for Backpack Theater must be in by March 1, 2009 to guarantee your organization's reservation. We only have room for 18 reservations. Island Roads Theater will be touring for only three days in July. The dates are Wednesday, July 15th, Thursday, July 16th and Friday, July 17th. This troupe will perform, Little Red Riding Hood and The Bremen Town Musicians. Reservations must be made by April 1, 2009. We have room for 8 reservations.
